We Struck Gold at Brohn Homes’ Legacy Hills Grand Opening

What happens when a homebuilder asks guests to “Find Your Hidden Gem”?

At the Brohn Homes Legacy Hills grand opening in Mico, Texas, we took that theme quite literally. There was gold, plenty of Brohn teal, oversized gemstones, modern Texas prospectors and a crowd willing to play along.

Brohn Homes created the theme. Our job at Amethyst Star Ventures was to turn it into an experience guests could actually step into and take home with them.

Finding the Hidden Gem

For the AI photo experience, guests were transformed into modern Texas prospectors while still looking unmistakably like themselves.

Miner hats, vests and Texas Hill Country scenery created the setting. Oversized teal gemstones connected the portraits directly to the “Find Your Hidden Gem” theme, while touches of gold and Legacy Hills inspired details completed the scene.

The finished images carried the fun even further with event specific messages including “I Struck Gold at Legacy Hills” and “There’s Gold in Them Thars Legacy Hills.”

The best part was watching guests see their finished portraits for the first time.

That moment is exactly why we love interactive experiences. A familiar face suddenly appears in a completely unexpected setting, and people stop. They laugh. They show somebody else. They share it.

And now the grand opening is attached to that memory.

When the Theme Leaves the Booth

The “Find Your Hidden Gem” theme didn’t stop with the photos.

Brohnny the Bear got into the gold rush spirit, and James and I dressed for the occasion too. Those details may seem small, but they help an interactive experience feel like it belongs at the event rather than simply being equipment placed in a room.

When the theme carries through the environment, the people and the guest experience, everything feels more connected.

We also had another opportunity to work alongside members of Brohn Homes’ familiar vendor circle. Seeing the different pieces come together is always part of the fun of a community opening.

More Than a Photo to Take Home

A grand opening is an invitation to discover a new community.

For Legacy Hills, Brohn Homes turned that invitation into “Find Your Hidden Gem.” Our goal was to give guests one more way to experience that idea rather than simply read it on a sign.

They got to become part of the theme.

And they left with something created specifically for that day, that community and that experience.
