Amethyst Star Ventures was honored to be part of this special fundraiser benefiting the scholarship efforts of the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Clubs (NABSTMC).
The October 10, 2026 Disco Night took place at Holiday Inn Killeen Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.
Behind the disco-inspired celebration was something even more meaningful: an organization committed to preserving African American history, serving its communities, and helping students pursue their educational dreams.
Honoring the Legacy of the Buffalo Soldiers
The history of the Buffalo Soldiers dates back to 1866, when Congress established six segregated African American Army regiments following the Civil War. These regiments were later reorganized into four, including the legendary 9th and 10th Cavalry.
Despite facing discrimination and significant challenges, these soldiers built a distinguished legacy through their military service, contributions to American history, and work protecting some of the nation's earliest national parks.
Today, the National Association of Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Clubs helps keep that history alive.
Founded from a motorcycle club established in Chicago in 1993, the organization has grown into a nationwide network dedicated to historical education, community service, veteran support, and charitable giving.
Their mission is about more than remembering history. It's about using that legacy to create opportunities for future generations.
