A Custom AI Photo Booth Experience Designed Around Dignity
How Beauty Initiative’s mission became a custom AI photo experience at A Decade of Dignity in Broward County

When a mission is rooted in dignity, every detail should feel intentional. That was our starting point when Amethyst Star Ventures traveled from Texas to Broward County, Florida, to support Beauty Initiative’s A Decade of Dignity Packing Extravaganza. The event celebrated ten years of work centered on making hygiene accessible and helping people feel seen, supported, and respected.
For us, this was more than a photo booth booking. It was an opportunity to design a custom AI photo booth experience around one powerful word: DIGNITY.
A Decade of Dignity in Broward County
Beauty Initiative’s mission is clear and deeply human. Through programs that address period care, personal hygiene, laundry access, and support for students and families, the organization helps meet essential needs that are often overlooked.
The Packing Extravaganza brought volunteers and supporters together in Broward County to mark ten years of impact. Guests arrived ready to serve, celebrate, and connect. Our job was to create an interactive experience that belonged inside that story.
Because we traveled from Texas to Florida, we built a streamlined activation around what could be transported reliably. We did not bring every experience or every piece of equipment in our inventory. That practical constraint helped us focus the setup on what mattered most: a welcoming guest flow, polished branded photos, and an AI concept with a strong emotional connection to the organization.
The Creative Challenge: Making the Message Personal
A custom event activation works best when it does more than place a logo on a photo. It should help guests feel the theme.
Beauty Initiative’s message gave us the creative direction. Dignity is not abstract when someone is receiving the care products they need, washing clothes without barriers, or moving through the world with confidence. We wanted each portrait to connect that mission to the person standing in front of the camera.
The technology was the tool. The client’s message was the experience.
That distinction guided every decision. The visual needed to feel uplifting and artistic, but the guest still had to recognize themselves. The word DIGNITY needed to be visible and meaningful, but it could not overwhelm the face. The result also needed to feel consistent with the organization’s purple palette and celebratory event environment.
Designing an AI Photo Experience Around Dignity
We began with a simple creative idea: build each portrait from repeated DIGNITY lettering.
The goal was not to place a word over a standard photograph. We wanted the typography to become part of the art, shaping the contours, texture, shadows, and highlights of the guest’s portrait. From a distance, the image would read as a recognizable person. Up close, the repeated word would reveal the message behind the design.
That balance is what separates a custom AI photo experience for events from a novelty filter. The output has to honor the guest and the brand at the same time.
From One Word to a Working AI Prompt
Turning that concept into a dependable event experience required testing before event day. We refined the creative instructions in stages, adjusting how the AI handled facial likeness, composition, typography, color, contrast, and the amount of visible lettering.
Some tests leaned too heavily into the text and lost the person. Others preserved the face but made DIGNITY feel decorative instead of essential. We kept refining the language until the portraits felt like one connected collection while still allowing each guest’s features and expression to lead.
We will not share the full proprietary prompt, but the process is worth explaining. Prompt development is creative direction expressed in precise language. A useful prompt has to define what the experience should preserve, what it should transform, and which visual choices matter most. It also needs enough flexibility to work across different faces, hairstyles, clothing, and lighting conditions.
Testing Recognition, Style, and Consistency
AI does not produce an identical result every time, even when the same creative framework is used. That variation was part of the experience.
One guest’s portrait might feature bolder letterforms. Another might show more delicate word art in the shadows and facial contours. Hairstyles, pose, clothing, and expression naturally influenced the final composition. The portraits were not clones, but they clearly belonged to the same DIGNITY series.
Our testing focused on three questions.
Would the guest still recognize themselves?
Would DIGNITY remain readable and connected to the artwork?
Would the collection feel consistent enough to represent Beauty Initiative?
When the answer to all three was yes, we knew the concept was ready for the event.
The Finished DIGNITY Experience
At the Packing Extravaganza, volunteers stepped in for a portrait and watched their image become a custom piece of DIGNITY word art. The transformation created a natural moment of curiosity, followed by the fun of seeing how each version turned out.
That reveal mattered. Guests were not simply receiving another event photo. They were seeing themselves inside the event’s central message.
The finished images showed how AI can support an organization’s story without replacing the human connection at the center of it. Each portrait began with a real person who had given time and energy to the celebration. The AI helped turn that moment into a personalized keepsake.
More Than One Way to Participate
The client gallery also included branded Packing Extravaganza photo layouts that captured volunteers together and highlighted the event identity. These traditional branded images complemented the AI portraits by giving guests more than one way to participate.
That mix is useful for nonprofit events, corporate celebrations, conferences, and milestone experiences. Some guests love a highly creative transformation. Others prefer a familiar group photo. A thoughtful activation can make room for both while keeping the visuals connected to one campaign.
What This Custom Event Activation Shows Other Organizations
A strong custom event activation begins with meaning, not equipment.
The most important questions are about the audience, the message, and what guests should feel when they participate. Technology, layout design, guest flow, and keepsake format should support those answers.
This project also shows why preparation matters. AI prompt testing, recognition checks, visual consistency, and practical travel planning all happened before the first guest stepped in front of the camera. That behind the scenes work made the on site experience feel simple.
For organizations considering a custom AI photo booth experience, the opportunity is bigger than entertainment. A mission statement, campaign phrase, anniversary theme, or brand value can become the creative foundation for a personalized activation that guests understand immediately.
